Instead of my traditional way of drawing i went for photoshop. i feel i am improving with my photoshop skills. i dont know why but i was thinking 60s when i did this with the style of the woman. i didnt want to make it too fussy so i kept to simple shapes and patterns.

This is a piece ive done for illustration friday subject polar. I love using pastels and pencil crayons its one of my favourite medias.

Im also obsessed with photoshop contest ive put in at least five pieces this week but really enjoyed doing them.

im going to try and invite more people to my website ive had some really nice comments which i admit gives me a buzz. i mean i understand that not everyone going to like my work but i cant let things like that affect me it comes with the industry.
And feel you can learn from the bad comments makes you want to better yourself in a good way.

Ive done two variations of the work but personally i like this one. I like it because it has a fantasy feel too it. When i started this i had no idea what i was going to create but i just went with the flow and i think it turned out alright.

Finally recieved my corel painter software today be straight up town the weekend to get the corel painter magazine and start createing yipee!

Photoshop Contest

bought my regular magazine Photoshop creative today. And theres a new website www.photoshopcontest.com i will be defiently be having a peek. i will admit i look forward to getting Photoshop Creative magazine its so inspiring. I mean its so hard for illustrators just starting out and i think its good that theres avenues where early talent can be shown. i cant wait until my corel painter software comes ive seen some lovely work done with the software.

Unfornatly i havent had much luck with the greeting card companys i inited to see my webpage but theres still other people i can invite, ive actually thought about sending personal post cards to local companys and inviting them to my web page.

Im really chuffed ith this piece as this was my first piece of work i sent to a photoshop creative magazine competition. And i found out today its been published ive never had anything published its gave me a right buzz yipee!
